Why are we asking this?

If you have minor children, a will is essential for naming legal guardians. The number of children and their ages also impact how trusts and inheritances are structured. Additionally, a trust ensures your family will not have to go through the lengthy, expensive, and stressful probate court process after you’re gone.

FAQs

Commonly Asked Questions

Creating your Estate Plan through Trust & Will is far less expensive than creating your Plan with an attorney. We removed the middle man so that we could make Estate Planning accessible, inclusive, and affordable for all.

Our Trust-Based Estate Plan starts at $499 and our Will-Based Estate Plan starts at just $199. If you want to speak with an attorney about your plan, we offer attorney support for an additional $299.

It takes most people about 20 minutes to complete their Trust and 15 minutes to complete their Will.

A Trust is the most comprehensive Estate Plan and offers people more control over when and how their assets are distributed. Trusts also allow you to avoid probate court.

A Will lets you nominate guardians for your children and specify your health care preferences, final arrangement wishes, and how you want your assets distributed.

Notarization and signing requirements vary from state to state. Some states require two witnesses to be present while signing your documents and other states require a notary. Always confirm with your specific state laws.

Trust & Will makes it easy to update your Estate Planning documents. Simply login to your account and make any necessary changes. We suggest updating your plan after any major life event or every three to five years.

You can upgrade your Estate Plan any time you wish and the money you paid to purchase your original plan will be subtracted from your new plan. For example, if you paid $199 for your Will and decide you’re ready to create your Trust, the $199 will be put towards the cost of your Trust.
